"The Mooche" with Diz and Getz

November 6, 2016 Ilana Kalish
Diz and Getz 1953

Diz and Getz 1953

"The Mooche", originally composed in 1928 by Duke Ellington and Irving Mills, is an American Jazz classic and has always been one of my favorites.

Back then, they called it "jungle style" and while that is a cool name, I'm pretty sure the only jungle this number represents in a concrete one 🏬.

This version of "The Mooche" , recorded in '53 by Diz and Getz is the perfect way to slide into your smokin' Sunday.

Check it check it out ⬇️ .
