Apocalyptica = Finnish + cello + metal band from Helsinki.
Oh my!
Originally conceived as a classical Metallica tribute band (genius!!!), the group eventually nixed the guitars and committed to a pure neoclassical metal style [4], of course.
The band Is made up of classically trained cellists:
- Eicca Toppinen
- Paavo Lötjönen,
- Perttu Kivilaakso (all three of whom are graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki)[5]
- and drummer Mikko Sirén.
So, raise up your horns 🤘🏼and experience Apocalyptica as they rock Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" and "One".
