When I experience a soul swooning song, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this, I feel a special warmth. That same warmth I get when I'm understood by a good friend, hugged after a scrapped knee and loved completely no matter what. Usually, when the song swoons my soul, I shake my head, close my eyes and shed a few tears.

Michael Kiwanuka's debut single "Home Again" (2012), does all this and more.

Mr. Kiwanuka is a gem, a treasure with a voice that leaves me without words to describe... just a pure emotion to feel. He's released a lot more since this song dropped out of his heart and soul. However, I always like to start at the very beginning (it's a very good place to start...) when meeting someone new. And since this post signifies the first time we've crossed paths and locked eyes with Mr. Kiwanuka, "Home Again" is a fine "Hello, and how do you do...."

I know I'm not the first to tell you how special you are. I mean Adele beat me to this admiration... But, um, swoooon. Thank you for keeping me and my early Sunday morning coffee company. I look forward to spending much more time together.
