The great John Coltrane... born 90 years ago today was a true artist, visionary, philosopher and musical genius. His spiritual depth could be heard as it swooooned out of his tenor sax, as he played to communicate, through music, directly to people's souls... their hearts and minds.

This clip is of 'Tranes first trip overseas as a member of one of the first great incarnations of The Miles Davis Quintet. It was March 28th 1960 and Miles Davis decided to sit this show out....
