U2 will never be just a letter and a number. Their music lives in my head and heart, always and forever. Bono's soul rousing rock cry is, was and always will be my portal to a New Year.

So, while you enjoy your Sunday Bloody-Mary Sunday 😬 (The hair of the dog that bit ya), enjoy some baby U2 circ. 1982/3 (ish) with their first ever hit single "New Year's Day" off their 2nd of 13 studio releases, and first UK number-one album War (1983). Just look at 'em... knee deep in '80s fashion 🙈, blonde Bono, "The Edge"'s beaniless head.

U2 has been (with a few minor alterations) made up of these boys since 1976. Like, woah.
