The Milk Carton Kids

Joey Ryan & Kenneth Pattengale of The Milk Carton Kids are the definition of deadpan shenanigans - this is what it looks like πŸ‘†πŸΌ.

Oh man, I think The Milk Carton Kids have broken me, and it hurts so good and feels just right. A #Repeater has been uncovered in their song Michigan (Prologue, 2011). AndΒ  despite the inherent pain involved in the process of listening to a song that stirs your soul, I just keep going back for more, like an addict, until I'm sure that it's become a part of me. Until its been properly steeped into my mind and heart.... listening until I wake up in the thin, blue, quiet light of the morning and realize I've been singing it in my sleep... as I sing it while I wake.

I want you to listen to Michigan with me, please.  Inevitably, whenever you listen, no matter what time zone, location or circumstance you can be quite sure I'm listening too.

Love,

This is a primer on The Milk Carton Kids courtesy of NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series.  The first song is my #Repeater Michigan followed by 2 other beauties Stealing Romance & I Still Want A Little More.
