Jordan Kirk, a singer-songwriter from Ohio, is one of those thoughtful and poetic musicians who swings his soul wide open and lets us listen in... let's us feel close and even, somehow, trusted.
It's intimate indie at its finest.
Jordan's sincere, poetic and yes, soul swooning lyrics, backed by a mix of softly intricate guitar, the occasional gospel choir, an assortment of stringed instruments, and even sometimes a Hammond organ are the kind of lyrics that we'd all like to hear our loved ones say. Each one a different heartfelt conversation with the power to connect and help us understand life through another's heart. Sigh.
This is especially true for my fave track, Crazy, the first single from Jordan's latest album, Ragamuffin Parade, which was released into the wild on June 1st 2017.
He's a keeper.
